Caution: Mixing is not always a good idea.

Oil and water do not mix.
Clean and dirty do not mix.
Plaid and stripes, do not mix (no matter who you are).
Some people just do not mix. Some people seem to bring out the worst in each other.
Cats and dogs do not mix.
Good and evil do not mix.
Orange juice and toothpaste do not mix.
You get the point. Some things in life just don't go together...right?
Including people. So is it best to just forget and ignore it or mix things up?
Because, said quite simply, some things and some people...just do not mix. Oil and vinegar. Nope.

Hmmmm... Sometimes water and oil just won't mix, not matter how often or how hard you shake the bottle. And some things can mix, like toothpaste and orange juice, but they'll leave a bitter taste in your mouth afterwards. The best mixes are like warm chocolate chip cookies and cold milk, where each complements and brings out the best in the other :)

Just because things don't mix perfectly doesn't mean they don't or shouldn't go together. Chocolate chips and cookies for example. they do not mix in the same sense that oil and water don't mix, however, i quite enjoy the combination.

There is however another sense in which things can mix, and that is the people sense. There is a Professor here who i strongly disagree with on some Aristotelian Logic, and the 'taste left in my mouth' after talking to her is horrible. However, despite my not particularly enjoying my conversation with her as she became quite rude, I have become quite determined to read up on the subject and prove her wrong.

What would seem to bring out the worst in us may actually be an opportunity to expand in some aspect, whether it be in acceptance, knowledge, benevolence or life in general. Though we see only the bad, we can not truely judge the situation from within.
