Track and running is one of my favorite things to do. It's also one of the hardest I've done, but with the challenge comes a good feeling of accomplishment too. It's totally worth all the blood, sweat, and tears when you earn what you have worked hard for. State track was way fun. I had a blast with my team. Nothing feels better than working really hard for something and accomplishing it.I went in my 300 hurdles and in the 4 x 400 relay. We ran our hearts out at districts and earned our spot.
It was fun to relax at our hotel. But when it came time to step into my blocks, I was so overwhelmed with all of the PEOPLE there. It was incredible. Nothing compares to the adrenaline rush when they call your name and you step into your blocks. There I am after my hurdle race.

When we got to the track to practice, it was HUGE. I loved running on their track and warming up in their blocks as a Grizzly.
It was my last time running for Skyline and I have loved every season of track and cross country. There were always those hard workouts, or times when I wanted to quit, but I didn't and I am so glad I didn't. Because there were also those moments when every bit of hard work that I put in left me feeling on top of the world. I put my whole heart into it and it taught me a lot about life. My best memories come from here.

We got amazing seats in the Conference Center, they were so close to the front and it was incredible. I have never seen the prophet in person and when he walked into the room, we all fell silent immediately. The spirit was so strong and I couldn't help but close my eyes and just soak in the wonderful spirit. Words can't even describe it.

As lame as dances are, it's still going to be fun to go. Especially with my date because we are such great friends, I know we will have a blast together. Funny story though-where I learned I should never be a spy... I had to answer him back to the dance last night. So me and Jordan went and got all the stuff to make a little scavenger hunt for him and decorate his car, and trash his room. Can you say oh so fun!? haha, how can it not be fun to go trash someone's car, right? Trevor had a meeting so while he was in it we got into his car and the mess-making began. We were being all stealthy so that we didn't get caught while he was in his meeting, and then we went and finished the rest of the scavenger hunt for him at his house. Where his siblings would not quit eating ALL of the candy...:(. kids these days...tsk tsk.
I texted him to see when he would be out and found it would be just a matter of minutes. Unfortunately while we waited for him to come out, a series of events led me and Jordan to have to leave early and miss the action. So as we're walking back to my car, disappointed, Jordan looks over and asks if the guys she sees is Trevor. I look over and my jaw completely drops. IT IS! OH NO!!! HIDE! The only hiding place was a tiny ledge beside us, so as he glances over at the two of us, we drop flat to the ground, shaking with laughter. Such wonderful spies. As we're laying there on the pavement, I looked over and saw some lady sitting in a car in the closest parking spot available looking very... confused.haha, I couldn't help but giggle. It was just too hilarious. So I think maybe my loud laugh might have helped give us away, that and our instant dropping to the ground upon seeing Trevor. I decided to sneak a peek at him and see if he was still looking at us. Not only was he looking for us, he was walking towards our not very good hiding spot. After a quick whispered discussion (followed with more laughter), Jordan and I decided to make a run for it. As we got up, we hid behind the car, with a very bewildered lady still sitting inside. So as we started sprinting to make it to my far away car, Trevor starts chasing us! It was supposed to be a scavenger hunt, but it turned into a crazy game of hide and go seek. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. I just feel bad for that poor woman in the car. What she must have thought seeing two girls running from some guy chasing them down across the street. I still wonder if she called the cops...we left too soon to find out. Lesson learned: Christina will never be a secret agent. But she does love a good game of hide and go seek.
