This week I did something I never thought I would do as a college student- I bought a membership to a city gym. And I don't regret it one single bit. I think I'm addicted.
At the beginning of spring semester I discovered a wonderful thing called zumba. The lady that teaches at the college for free is amazing & she teaches at my city gym. I think she is my hero of the month.
Zumba is good for my soul. I find myself dancing & not really caring what other people think. I love to just feel the music. It is simply magical. It makes me want to do better. to be better. I want to do hard things.
It inspires me. and fills my head with all sort of new goals & aspirations.
I think it would be so cool to learn how to inspire people the way that she does.
My new goal is to find a way to somehow do that in my lifetime.

Look at you. You’re young. And you’re scared.
Why are you so scared? Stop being paralyzed. Stop swallowing your words. Stop caring what other people think.
Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to the music you want to listen to. Play it loud and dance to it.
Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday.
Live now.
Do it now.
Take risks. Tell secrets.
This life is yours.
When are you going to realize that you can do whatever you want?”

On the plus side...
I lost my keys this week. Then last night I stayed out too late, in the cold. So I woke up sick today. And missed half of my first class. My nose has been sniffling all day. And.... I don't feel like doing homework.
BUT...
I just got hired for a job this summer! My roommate bought me 2 symphony bars. My parents sent me a care package. I have a spare key, so I can still drive. I cleaned my room. And.....the sun is out! I'd say it's a pretty decent day. :)

The life of a college student
Alright...that's it. I think in the past week, the earliest I've gotten to bed is 2am. I know I SHOULD be saying that's due to my homework. But in all honesty, I'll just say I pretty much have the greatest friends ever and we'll leave it at that.
Here's what's been happening as of late.
We had a little FHE at my apt. which turned into a huge pillow fight.

And of course, ya always need some random dance parties with the roommates
How many college students does it take to make scotcheroos? Well...about 5 actually.
I'm not quite sure what happened here, but I had to catch it on camera
Oh! And me/my roommates bought a $30 couch at D.I...with a complimentary banana...gross!
Why do people go to Denny's at 4am? I think it's just the only place open at that time with something edible to eat.
Now it's time to finally work on some homew----ZZzzzzz.

So long, farewell...
A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to fly home for Trevor's farewell. It was quite the flight, but definately worth it, once I got to Idaho. Trevor's house was busting at the seams with people during the open house, but I grabbed him for a quick picture.
This is what you get when you add:
A happy picture of me & my best friend at his open house/farewell
+ an aweseom little pillow chain while watching Jumanji
+ One more hug before my plane flew in the opposite direction of my best friend, who I won't be seeing for 2 years.
+ a bittersweet (but more sweet) feeling.
= lots and lots of this. :)
My comfort food. Mmmm!
Congrats and good luck to Elder Casper! :) Next time I see him, he'll be an RM!!

Goodbye 2010
Looking back, 2010 seems like it was just yesterday...oh wait, it was! Ok ok, sorry for the cornyness, I couldn't help it. But really, the time flew by. I learned a lot & had some great memories at the same time.
Starting out the year in apt. 205 at BYU-Idaho...

I had THE best roommate ever. We were such good buddies.

We used to wake up every Sat. morning & just hang out in our room & then go make pancakes for breakfast...our therapy.

We fit over 30 people in our apartment & had the most awesome dance parties that semester. It's all fun & games...until the manager threatens to call the police.

I shot a gun for my first time this year...in heels.

And a second time too.

Played with my awesome ward.

Hiked "R" mountain. (rexburg mountain)

Learned how to make cinnamon rolls..:)

Moved home for the summer and
went to my 2nd senior prom...deja vu, anyone?

Enjoyed summer nights roasting stuff at the drive-in and going on bike rides.

Attempted making crepes..

Found out what it's like to have long hair when I got extenstions.

Spent over half the summer in a swimsuit out in the sun, doing what lifeguards do best: yelling at children (and parents) to stop running, drowning each other, being stupid...etc.
It was a stressful job but lifeguards definately have some good times.
Yep, I'm gonna miss you 2010 but I'm ready for 2011...bring it on.

I decided my time was done at BYU-I so I packed my bags & decided to move to Dixie State. As I was moving down, I got to spend an amazing day at lagoon...Where it dumped buckets of rain on us.
And in the same day, the sun came out & we went swimming at lagoon-a-beach. We took full advantage of the weather and spend about 11 hours at lagoon that day.
Spent 3 days this summer, babysitting these cute kids. (minus babysitting Trevor, of course..he helped)
And loved it.
Made this spongebob squarepants cake for my roommates birthday.
Had my first shot....of sparkling cider.
Yep, I'm gonna miss you 2010 but I'm ready for 2011...bring it on.
